Maybe so, but only after they have managed to get into my Garage where my alarm system (2 Akitas, 1 9MM, 1-38, 2 45s and 2 bush masters) awaits them. And this is just the Garage. I would love for them to just come on in the house.

If I get caught in the rain (which isnt often here) the bike gets a thorough wash and then detailed, or after coming home from a multi-day tour. Other than that mostly just a brush with a lambswool duster and then wipe down with S100. Its a labor of love LOL!
I try to do a thorough wash, blow dry, and polish at least twice a year. Haven't really done a full detail yet but probably will this winter; however, we still ride for most of the winter season in the NorthWest.
I wash and detail mine when it looks dirty, which is about once a month, maybe. I don't see much rain in the summer, so it's mainly dust and bug splatter. I do clean my windshield regularly though. I usually spend about 3 hours in total washing, drying and polishing the chrome parts.
I wipe mine down the day after every ride and I wash it if its too dirty to wipe down.. Im a clean freak dirty cars bikes and trucks bug the **** out of me .. besides all totaled out the door insurance plates and taxes I have damn near 20k in this thing ! looks a lot better cleaned up ..
You all are going to call me a liar but my bike/s gets detailed everyday. Before I get slammed let me explain. I have owned a parrot for well over 20 years and she sits in the garage on her ladder every late afternoon, local kids come by and they hold her and play with her she loves it. What do I do during this parrot play time, clean my bikes, maintenance (change oil, tires, fix this or that) but mostly clean and detail. Again before I get slammed for not riding, between my 3 bikes I average 20,000 miles a year. Believe it or not.............Bob
