It took me about 5 minutes to get used to the heel shifter on my old Heritage and now I wouldn't be without it.

Never had one until I got my first bagger in fall of 08. Started to take it off, but didn't. Took some time to get use to using it. Now I wouldn't want to do without it.

got rid of mine after about a month...felt i needed extra room.....and i only wear a size 10... i couldn't imagine someone with 13s or 15s trying to wedge their foot between the pegs.
I am a little on the short side 5'6" ..and i actually ride with my feet pretty far back on the boards and my knees bent kinda like a mid-controll stance...especially in the turns..it really makes an 800# bike feel ALOT more nimble then it should....

First bike with one, I don't use it at all. It'll come off eventually.

To me, it doesn't make any ergonomical sense. You have to use all (exaggerating) your muscles in your leg to lift your heel up, on the other hand it's just one little toe flip. I don't get it.

Never had one until my first Harley in '02. Have had four Harley's now and with each one, I've ridden briefly using only the front shifter, like in the old days of my Interceptors and GoldWings. Always go back to the rear shifter after just one ride.

Agree, Size 13 doesn't help either. Still on there but it will come off...

Use mine 100%...I think Harley was on to something here and I think they are/were right. I did get the extended lever for the rear it gave me about 2" more room on the floor boards, I do recommend this add on.
