Couldn't agree more.This is one place I come to just for the kill time effect.

 

The H-D Forum actually helped me decide to buy my first Harley back in 2005. There's always going to be a few bad apples and a few may have thought at time I was one of them. I'm now on my 3rd Harley and for the most part loving it. If you haven't figured out human nature yet, you might should consider unpluging your computer.

 

I heartily agree with the Captain.
There are probably thousands of people logging into this forum, each with their own opinions. A lot of opinions are insightful and well thought out while many others are not so much. I love the diversity and the depth of knowledge available here. Most of the members offer great advice and some others are full of crap but that's what makes this place so entertaining. You gotta have thick skin sometimes but, hey, that's life.

 

If ya don't like the forum, you're free to leave! I agree with Capt'n.....lots of good stuff on the forum, and I wonder how some people tie their shoes, let alone ride a motorcycle. But we all have some things to add or learn from others. If the forum is not for you, then just move on.....

Thank goodness I was called out of town July 4th weekend for a business emergency and this is my first visit back since last Monday. Must have missed the HDF bashing.....

IMO it is a great forum. Full of BS? Sure, but I think the good on here has far outweighed the ignoramoose's. (apologies to Cracker Barrel if mis-spelled)

 

Of the 3 or so HD related forums I have saved this one is by far the best and most informative. As for the folks that bitch and complain, I don't really pay much intention to them.

 

I don't know why a lot of you guys even bother to reply to someone who bashes. That is what they are looking for you to do. They sit and watch the dir they stir up by your responses. Just totally ignore those threads. Focus on the good ones.

 

I learn more just reading. I don't read all post, just the ones that interest me. You see I control the mouse of this computer. If you don't like what your reading steer your mouse some other direction. Good bye.

 

Having been away from riding for about 20 years this has been a great source of information for me. Going from a 1983 FLH to a 2009 Ultra would have been a much longer learning process without the people sharing their knowledge on here. Some pretty funny stuff as well. I like it here.
