Need help on my new touring bike
As some know, I recently traded in my 2010 WG for a new SG. Love my new ride but the first thing I need to purchase is a back rest for my passenger. My usual rider is a 13 yr old boy who is constantly hitting me on the back with his helmet. Probably because he is sliding around a bit with nothing to rest on. Might even get to talk the wife to go for a ride and get off her bobber if I had a backrest.
So I know there are 2 and 4 prong options. Can anyone give me some tips on these? What are your favs and why?

Ok I'm going to be different..yes the 4 point will give you more options but if you are not running anything other than a backrest...the 2 point is a much cleaner look you hardly see it when the backrest is off. The 4 point in my opinion is a bit unsightly... and why pay for something your not going to use and be forced to look at it all the time...but thats just me

I agree with the 4 point docking system. THis will allow you to have the back rest and a luggage rack. If you ever decide to do an overnight trip that will come in handy.
The other thing on the backrest, I would get the standard height. The lower one looks cool but I like the support on the standard height.

I started with the 2 point thinking that would be all I needed. It wasn't long before I moved to a 4 point to accommodate a tour pak I picked up on the internet.
Would go with the 4 point out of the gate. I can't agree with the unsightly appearance. I don't see where it diminishes the appearance.
