Default Adding a CB to a 2010 Street Glide

I tried to make sure there was not another active thread on this issue. I just bought a 2010 Street Glide with the stock Advanced HK Radio ( no XM ). What is the best way to add CB capabilities to this bike? I wish someone made a clean system or module that would allow you to add CB, XM, Phone ( maybe via Blue Tooth ), and Ham Radio ( might as well wish for it all ). At a minimum I would like to add CB and Phone capabilites.
I am considering the Scala G4 for the Phone and possible bike to bike solution, but unsure how many other riders might have the Scala system also.
I would prefer to have something that looks as clean or factory as possible without crap being held on with Tie-wraps and twist ties.

Thanks ahead of time to anyone who takes the time to respond with your experience with a project like this.

Try J&M Corp. They have several different options that may work for you. They specialize in motorcycle solutions that work and all the products I have experianced with them have been very high quality.

Medic,

That thread above will help a good bit, you will need the CB module, a new overlay harness for the radio, and the communications kit, that has the headset/mic jack and hand controls. Cost is between 600-$1100 depending on how patient you are. I found a good amount of stuff on ebay when I added the CB to my bike. I havn't used it....I do have a Scala Q2 and use it for the phone when I am on call and bike to bike on some rides. Unless you know you are going to be using it, then I would stick with the Scala.

The other thing to consider is you are going to need a corded headset or hand mic. J&M does make a bluetooth dongle that works, but only with their headset that has similar capabilities with the Scala so you can then not have a cord, but won't be able to link with the Scala.

Lot's to decide, but if I had to do it again, probably would not add the cb. If it came on the bike I would take it :-)

Thanks for the reply. The local HOG Chapter uses the CB for comm on rides and I was just considering it. My first priority will be connecting to my Iphone, then next trying to connect my XM Delphi so I can listen to it, then last priority is bike to bike.

As for adding CB, I edited my thread to include pictures of installing the BAMI kit with CB module which will take care of the CB. XM is easy (but pricey) using HD's XM module that sits next to the CB module and plugs into the non-Ultra overlay harness.

An excellent solution for Bluetooth phone is to use a Zumo 550 GPS (or perhaps a 660 or 665 though I'm not familiar with them), and add a unique product called the HD BOMM. It requires a couple of minor splices to the HD microphone wires, but allows you to use the HD microphone.

My buddy has the BOMM on his bike and many others have used it with excellent results with the ZUMO 550.

That would be my ultimate setup, is to have the bomm wired in with a Zumo (The 665 comes with XM) and then use the J&M bluetooth dongle to get rid of the wired headset and do everything through the HD system...But have to get the Zumo first....
