Down here in MB, I've seen quite a few riding around in Flip-Flops/Beach Shoes. Must be a beach thing.

Wear them all the time too. One pair with modified soles, one pair with standard leather.

Not only do I always ride with cowboy boots in summer and winter in relative comfort (at least as good as anything else I have tried), I found the ideal boot for bikers in style 629 from BA Mason. These are a good comfortable boot WITH SOLES AND HEELS GUARANTEED FOR LIFE. I ride my bikes and used to consistently have boots in the shop for new soles and heels, but am on my third year with these, and still have much wear left. At $129.88, every biker should have a pair and no, I don't work for BA Mason...

ARIAT's. Like the arch support in them. Comfortable to ride in but more important comfortable to walk in.

It depend's on how much horse **** you have on the bottom and sides, something to check before you take a trip. That way you can adjust how much grip you want (also keeps sole wear down), I usually leave more on the sides in the cooler weather.
