youll notice your center of gravity is higher the first little bit.but once yor used to them youll never go back.ive got 18"buffalo bars on my 08 rkc.there 41"wide.had them on my heritage.cant imagine running anything else.

 

imo,i like them better in the twisties.

 

I run 16" apes on my ride and do a lot of canyon/twisties. Every weekend in fact. Less input is needed to steer the bike. I could not imagine going back to lower bars.

No worries about apes as they are better than stock low bars. I have the 13" cycle smith bagger bars and they are 39" wide. Don't know how I could even ride with the stock barts as long as I did. I only wish I would have done 16". Will probably change them out this winter.

 

I have 12's on my bike. They aew much more comfortable. I couldn't go back to stock bars.
