loosening torx screws..help

I personally don't think a soldering iron wil get enough constant heat into the locktite due to the chilling effect of the surrounding metal, but I'm happy to be corrected if you try it and it works.
Could the heat from a iron 'blue' the screws? I dunno. Maybe try it on a test piece of some type before applying direct heat from an iron tip...JM2C....

if you're planning on using nail polish remover i'd be very cautious because that stuff has some serious bite and would likely eat any paint it touches. it's great for removing ticks when you're out dirt biking your glide through the woods. also themensh, i wouldn't use a mallet to strike the impact screwdriver because the impact screwdriver needs metal to metal contact rather than an absorbed hit. if you have access to an air impact driver you could turn the air pressure very low and use it with an adapter to work your torx driver.
