anyone who has went from electric glide to road glide, honest opinions..fairing, ride ect..

 

I am not exactly sure of the purpose of the RG. I thought it probably threw a lot more light from the dual lights, but several owners say no- maybe even less than a EG. And to me anyway, the fairing looks bulky.

 

I went from an '07 Electra Glide Ultra to a 2010 Road Glide Custom. I like the RG better simply because it is more fun to ride. In addition the RG handles better in a wind or rough road. It took me about 5 minutes to get use to the fairing not turning on the Roady. You don't turn your bars at highway speeds anyway. I changed the bars, seat and windshield on the RG to make it fit me better but I've done that on every Harley I've owned including my 2 previous Ultras. I have made an 1100 mile week end trip on my Glide with no problems. In addition the RG performed, accelerates, much better.
