I know someone with the same bike and YES that was the first thing that I noticed when I followed him. Going thru the sun/shade on twisties looked like the lights flashing on/off, what it was is they were noticeable in the shade but not in the sun. A suggestion may be to try the smoked lenses with red leds, this may just change the shade of red to be more distinctive.

a couple of you guys missed that his is a 2010 which does not have a central taillight, and cannot use the bal for that reason. the 2010 roadglides and streetglides only have the turn signals that also work as taillight/brake light. they don't look near as visible with just the two lights, to me anyway.

You'll like the brightness of the Custom Dynamics Genesis tail/turn lights, I have them on my SG and they are much brighter than stock, so bright I had to change the taillight cause it looked odd being so dim. I have the Hyperlights on another bike and like the brightness and flashing ability (you can't NOT notice them if you are behind them) but they are a bulky plastic box with led's sticking out. Not real attractive. Can't speak for the Badlander set up but the company that sells them are real nice to deal with.
