Road King Classic Vrs. Yamaha Road Star Midnight Silverado

Uh,dont think so.
I had a 2001 Midnight Star.Had to have the lifters replaced at about 12K,had to replace the rear shock spring due to it bottoming out,one of the front rotors was rubbing on the caliper.
The flooboards would grind in sharp turns and the overall comfort was not like an HD.
Sure they are cheaper, but not the same quality.

Careful about tormenting someone because they choose not to ride a HD. My buddy had a Kawasaki Vulcan. Nice bike but not my cup of tea. We rode together quite a bit. Whenever I did a long distance trip I would bring him back a HD Tshirt. He always wore them. Fast forward five years and he's riding a brand new CVO Ultra and I'm on a 7 almost 8 year old RK. Hope he sends me some tshirts. We now live 3000 miles apart

Old thread, but since it was brought back from the dead... I loved my Yamaha Roadstar Midnight Star... I made sooo many changes to it... ended up selling it to my cousin when I went for my first Harley.
He still has it and it has given him many miles of happy and trouble free miles.
Just ride what you can/want and have fun.
Here is a photo of the bike... like I said, I changed just about everything on it. I have fun modifying stuff...
