I did not like the KW 6.5, but I do like the LRS 9 ". regular recurve w/the slight flip.

I suspect you will get a lot of opinions on your question.

You may find many comments that a recurve will allow you to use a shorter shield over a taller shield.

Good luck, there are many windshield options.

Clearview XL. It's a drive-in movie screen, but it works. I had the Klock Works and traded it after a few hundred miles. It looked cool, but was no better than the stock Rd shield.

I've got an 8" fastaire that's ok, but kinda ugly. My KW 6.5 just got delivered yesterday, so i'll be putting it on tomorrow night when i get off the road. Can't wait! I'm right at 6 ft tall, so it should be perfect.

I've owned most of them. Windvest is the best IMO.
