Default Road King Rear Axle Nut

Well I was let down by someone that was going to remove my rear wheel so I can get the new tire put on.
Can someone tell me what size the nut on the axle is ?
The largest wrench I have is 1 1/4 and its not big enough.
I have to pick one up tomorrow and it would be nice to know what size to get rather then buy 3 or 4 and have to return the ones not needed.
If anyone has any tips to pass on to me please do so .
Thanks

I used a 36 mm on the axle nut and 1 3/8 on the opposite

I generally mark the cam adjuster for belt tension on each side with a sharpie to get it in the ballpark when reinstalling. Have to drop the muffler unless you get a special ratcheting thin wrench like the Kastar. Easiest to do on a lift table with a drop out bottom.

not necessary to remove muffler, even without table, even put board under rear wheel fasten strap to board and upper frame whatever and tighten strap down until you are clear of exhaust pipe, sorry would just hate for someone to remove exhaust for no reason

Lol, thanks to Joe Blow's time travel I just got a useful tip for my '23 RKS.

The slim axle wrench I bought doesn't play well with the newer 140 ft-lb torque specs, and so I was resigned to dropping the muffler at every belt adjustment. Now I have another plan. Thanks Joe

Check your manual, I believe it says the bike should not have a rider on it when the belt tension is set. Pulling up the swing arm with ratchet straps would probably be like putting a 250 pounder on the bike and adjusting the belt. Maybe not, but worth checking. Removing and then reinstalling the mufflers doesn't seem like a big deal to me, have always done it that way.

Motion Pro has a 36mm socket with a “wobble” type joint and small extension attached for rear axle work. Very helpful tool getting extra room around the muffler.
