I took mine off the first time my pant leg got caught on the heel shifter and I couldn,t get my foot down at a stop sign. Not to mention I find it harder to lift my heel than to just lift my toe.

And I thought I was the only person that didn't like it. Size 12 just doesn't quit fit with the heel shifter either.

I have a size 11 shoe, but for me it was just more personal preference. I just like the traditional over/under approach.

I guess I am in the minority on this one. My bike was used or "pre-owned" when I got it and the prior owner had removed the heel shifter. I had a Road king prior to my Glide and actually miss the heel shifter. If any body wants to send me the heel kick I'll pay shipping!

Flip it over and put it on top of the front one - looks good - NEVER miss a shift either.

I've never used the heel shifter, cant quite bring myself to change, always toe shifted up and down through the gears, thats what i'm comfortable with,so maybe I should remove mine as well for more room on the board.
