Determine month of manufacture for '00 UC
I'm a new 2000 UC owner and it is highly likely I will have to relocate the tour pack backwards for my wife.
I know of 2 relocation kits - one fomr Kuryakyn and another from an independent guy.
If I go with the Kury relo kit, http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...D/27/IMID/3909, it states that:
Fits: Late ’00-’10 Touring Models with Rigid Mounted Tour-Pak or ’97-’10 Touring Models with H-D Two-Up or Solo Detachable Tour-Pak Racks (P/Ns 53276-04, 53260-02, 53276-09A, 53260-09A, 53246-09A) & a King, Chopped, or Razor-Pak Tour-Pak
Elsewhere it says: "Will fit ‘98-early ‘00 Touring Models with rigid mounted Tour-Pak if the stock support tube as been replaced with the ‘00-’08 support."
How do I determine if my 2000 UC with "Rigid Mounted Tour-Pak" is a late '00 or not? VIN number doesn't seem to contain that info. Or how do I tell if my bike has the '00-08 support tube?

Thanks,
Greg

There is a plate on the bike, usually in the region of the steering head with that info on it. My Buell and Dyna both have them, the Dyna being on the right frame tube just below the steering head, on the same plate as the VIN.
