I have one of these and love it. Very simple and easy to use, especially when I am by myself.

Make sure to opt for a larger tire and wheel combo on the trailer. Save ya alot of headaches in the bearing dept on the long hauls down the interstate.

My 5x10 is a single axle and is a little heavier than your standard lawn mower hauler that you get at Tractor Supply or Harbor Freight.

PS: I wrote the $1200 check and that did include tax and a spare tire so just the trailer was probably $1000

A 2009 Ultra will not fit in an 8 foot landscape trailer if you leave the rear loading ramp on the trailer. I had a 5x8 landscape trailer that I had to modify to tow my 2009 Ultra with.

PS the interior length of my trailer is dead on 96 inches, I needed at least two more inches. When I raised the tailgate/loading ramp it would hit the tour pak.

I have a 5x10 utility trailer that I haul my Ultra in. I wouldn't want it any smaller. Also, the trailers in the previous posts are fine trailers, but one-dimensional. I use my utility trailer for a lot of things, not just for hauling the bike. Mine also has a removable ramp which is nice loading and unloading a vehicle.

I've got a Kendon Dual-Rail Stand-up trailer that I bought new in 1999. I've trailered two big bikes together on it, long and short distance for years with no problems. Loads real easy with one person, chocks/rails and tiedown points are built in and located in the right positions. Major plus is that folds and stands up for convenient storage and space saving in the garage. By the way, I also use it to haul my riding mower for service, etc. I just fabricated a wood frame that I lay down in the rails and drive the mower right onto the trailer. These trailers are rather pricey new (approx $2k for dual-rail), but I'm sure there are plenty of used ones out there you might be able to find in the classifieds. I've had no problems with mine and intend to keep it a lot longer for the convenience factor. Good luck! http://kendonusa.com/trailer_index.htm

Here's a new twist to this story. There is a 6 X 10 enclosed trailer available down the street. Doesn't have the ramp door in back, has the regular doors, but is certainly big enough to trailer an Ultra. Should I hold out for a good deal on an enclosed trailer with a ramp door, or is it feasible to use a portable/fold-up ramp with an enclosed trailer with regular doors?

Check these out. I had one and loved it. You would have to contact them to find out where the nearest dealer is.

I have a Kendon dual that is a great trailer!! The 05 and newer Kendons have removable rails so it will work as a utility trailer. They also make one to haul golf carts and a larger one to haul cars!! Worth a look..
