Shifter linkage question

I have an older EVO (1997) FLHR that had a loose shifter arm on tranny that couldn't be tightened-up anymore. I tried this "Better Lever" and it fixed the problem without any doubt. This lever was like a connecting rod set-up with two clamping bolts , one on each side, that would have worked even if the splines on the transmission shift shaft were gone.

Oh, and I might add, I didn't have to take primaries off to replace the arm either.
