sheep skin ????
Wife wants to try a sheep skin on the seat, and wants to know if people prefer the long hair skins or short hair skins. Thanks.

I have the sheared and use it on longer rides. I think it looks a little better than the long hair. Works well.

I've used the short hair sheep skin from Aerostich for many years and wouldn't take a long ride w/o it. I've got one for my wife as well for riding two-up. It's cool in the summer and warm in winter. Like others say, don't get it wet.

Just got one myself compliments of the wife. The long haired is softer on the tush than the short haired, I did notice that.

I just got my second short hair last week (Alaskaleather). I haven't ridden a long hair and I don't know as if they do any better job, I think it's if people like the look.
The long hairs look to be quite a pile compared to the cleaner short hairs.

I used an Alaska Leather pad (sheared) for a while on my last bike and liked it a lot. Very butt friendly on long rides.
