Default RE: True duals and race tuner

I have a 06 RK Custom and had problems with the PCIIIusb on my bike. Most of it was releated to very slow cranking times with it on and the bike firing up instantly without it. I taked to the techs at power commander and ended up sending it back to them and purchasing the SERT. I prefer the SERT software in the ECU over a piggy back design in the electrical circuit with the PCIII. I have no doubt the PCIII is a good product, but they seem to have a lot of problems with the 06 models.
I have the Vance and Hines true duals and SE Pro slip ons. I have not had it dyno tuned but it runs good with the canned map of the disc. I plan on having a dyno tune done sometime here in the near future.

All of you that put true Duals on, how much torque did you loose ?
My Mech told me that I would loose allot with add of the true duals, but would get some back with the SERT

NOT suffering from torque loss here, tuning is crucial!

I should have mine back from the dyno in a couple hours and will compare my old sheet and new but I also had the heads ported but I will let you know if there is a drop along the line as compared to the stock headpipes with the same slip-ons

I installed Caliber true dual exhaust with Big sucker intake and PCIII at 600 miles in my '06 ultra. It runs cooler, I picked up torque, as well as horsepower, and after 3 1/2 hours on the dyno, I couldn't be happier.

Just got back from picking up the bike no torque loss actualy gained 4 ftlb @ 2500 and 5 ftlb @4k and on average 5 across the line. But the bike runs a little rough @ 1700-2000 rpm thought it would tune out but still a little rough down low maybe because of the ported heads?

I was also worried abouy losing some torque. My shop says you will lose some. They advised to not go this route if looking for performance. I like the looks and less heat. They did say it cuts down on the heat issue.

Find an honest shop with someone who knows how to dyno. It's really all in the tune. The difference is night and day.
