Default Remove passing lamps on RKC...anyone??

am I nuts for wanting to remove my passing lamps to look more like the front end of a road king custom? I want a more stream line bike and I think removing the passing lamps will go a long way in achieving this. Anyone with any photos before I take the plunge??? Thanks.

I like the look without the passing lamps but I'm more function over looks.

I'm keeping mine.

Any way you look at it,it's pretty cheap to pull stuff off so you won't be out much if you change your mind

here you go a 2007 road king classic
striped down to a road king custom
I love the look I had to buy the rk custom
front turn signels but it is a small price to pay
for the look and feel of a custom

I like the look but keep in mind the safety factor. The more lights you can put up front, the better people will see you.

I removed mine and added 50w Motolights to the calipers and Headwinds small turn signals,
I had them on the forks but then I added the deflectors and had to move them to the
bars, btw the deflectors work pretty good.

I like the looks of no passing lamps. Its sad that the MOCO makes such poor performing lamps. They just broadcast light all over with out any beam formation. I only keep mine until I can find suitable true HID lamp assys to replace them.

And don't know how well the turn signals on the handle bars would be seen with a front fairing.

I recently replaced mine in favor of the street glide style turn signals. Might look into adding the HD lights that mount on crash bar or the moto lights as mentioned above. Looks alot cleaner now.

Default RK Classic Passing Lamps Removed

I removed by passing lamps and added the turn signals and also the MOTOLIGHTS to the calipers... way brighter and more noticeable than the passing lamps. Also put the BALs brake light on the back.

ive done the same as 99roady on my last two road kings. i removed the light bars and added the streetglide lights. it really cleans the front end up and shows off the nacelle.

i have always had too many people flash their brights at me when using the passing lamps. its always been a hassle for me. i dont miss them one bit.
