Thanks for all the help guys, I did get the video to play. I had my stealer do the job about a month ago and I have had no problems till now. I got on it the other night and wo and behold the bars came toward me a little, but I pushed them back in place again. I wonder if the stealer will do it at no charge since its their screw up. Mine is an '08 and my buddy had his '09 done in the spring by an Indy and his move also. If taking the ignition switch off to get to the clamp is all I need to do then I might try doing it myself. Not trying to be a smart@ss but my stock Electra glide bars will move if I pull on them hard enough. Usually happens when backing up a hill. On my Dyna w/ 18" apes I've learned to pull down low or by the top clamp to back up or to adjust in the seat as i ride. You have more leverage with the longer bars. It's like a bigger hammer with a longer handle lol. I've also heard of people putting that skateboard grip tape in their clamps to get them a little tighter but haven't tried it. I would like apes on my electra glide but I can't make up my mind on how tall.

I'll take it back to the dealer and see if they can go any tighter with them. I don't mind them the way they are now but as long as they don't get any looser over time. There is always the chance that they had a 100lb. weakling tighten them.

I agree with ted, just use a quality ball socket allen and tighten them prior to going to thru the trouble of removing fairing and radio.

A quality ball head allen wrench is the key. If you have to, clamp on the short end with a pair of pliers and give it that final bit of torque.

The more you move them the looser they get.... Tighten them where you want them!
