I just finished installing cruise on my 06 EGS and it worked at 30 mph for me, didn't try the upper end of it above 70 mph.

2008 Ultra works at 35mph in 3rd with no problems. I installed Cruise on the wifes Deluxe and it sets at 35 also.

It should work at 30 regardless which gear.

my 2010 will work in 3rd at 30. i work on a military post and do not want to get caught speeding so i use it all the time.
