Road Glide Ultra coming in 2011

Here is my guess......
Harley will probably have left over 96" motors going out of the 2010 model year. Every new motor they build will be a 103". So during 2011, you can still get some models with a 96" while supply's last. There will have to be some sort of price incentive to get them to move. From a manufacturing perspective, I don't think it is cost effective for Harley to build 2 different size motors for the same platform. We have always surmised that they put the smaller motor in stock to increase sales of upgrade kits. Not everyone upgrades though, and why not just get the extra $$ from everyone who buys one by putting it in at the factory. Not to mention competition. All of the other Motorcycle companies are well ahead of the Moco in terms of c.i. displacement and not every prospective buyer is a dyed in the wool Harley rider. Some people are shopping based on what they perceive as the merits of the product. And there ain't no replacement for displacement.

I think the 103s are gonig to only be in the Limited, Peace Officer bikes and trikes. The CVOs will have 110s and the rest of the line up will have the 96 just like always.
If they do offer 103s, it will be part of a package with ABS and security and will be somewhere around $1500-$1700.

It will on select models...reasons unknown. But they may make it a package with other options as you stated.

A RG Ultra is the bike I wanted when I got my Electra glide. But they came out with the new RG "custom". I didn't want a custom, I wanted an Ultra. Last year this time the same info was in CARB regarding a RG Ultra, and it didn't come to play. So this year same same... but if they do come out with a real Road glide Ultra, my bank account is in a little trouble!
