Default stage 1 observations

just finished a 3 hour ride with my new stage one setup on my 07 flhp. i have se supertrapp slipons, se ac and V&H fuel pak. it was a budget setup and i'm sure there are other choices that may produce more performance gains and versatility.

my 03 ultra alreay had stage one on the 88 motor so i had nothing to compare it to.

my 2010 limited has the stock setup for now and i have 1000 miles on that.

i put about 500 miles on the flhp in the stock setup before i made the switch. i cant really tell if there is any heat reduction. i'm just not dialed in that much i guess. my wife still saif - my seat is getting hot a couple of times in the ride. the biggest thing i noticed was that the bike was almost screaming up at me - thank you for the right mixture. throttle response was very very smooth and the engine definitely ran much much better. seemed to really pull me towards higher rpms. i am satisfied, but was not blown away. would definitely do it again and will be doing it on the limited.

i am happy. i re read my post and it kinda sounds like a downer, which it wasnt. i'm glad i could notice. you know sometimes you get so pumped about something new, only to be bummed - thats not the case here.

i guess it is boiling down to what soooo many have said in the past. it is now running like it should have out of the showroom. if you have a stock setup - it runs just fine, but once you go with a stage 1, you know what i'm talking about.

For me the stage 1 just makes the bike run as it should from the start..
