change all the fluids in the beginning of the ridding season regardless of miles since last change and every 5000 miles thereafter

Before winter storage and at 5000 miles during riding season, which is usually just before Sturgis.
So I'm changing twice a year.

+1 on the 5k/10k miles. I ride 15 to 20,000 miles a year, can see no value in changing it more often.

Another 5,000/10,000 here.
I also put a decent amount of miles on my bike, and would go broke doing it sooner then that.
I'll have 40,000 miles by the end of the summer.

Same here, but if I'm heading out for a long road trip, like in August when I head for Sturgis, I'll change it right before I leave.
