Look at Oil at 2,500 miles - looks like new then I wait for a max miles of 5,000...

Switch to Mobil 1 20/50 5/2010 - 4,000 miles looks new.....

i just changed my engin oil today , i change mine every 2000 miles or so and a new filter ever second change . i got motol the last couple of times becouse there is no harley dealer near where i live . i live in europe i was useing fuchs cos thats what the independent dealer stocks . what oil do you guys prefer . i used regular 80w90 gear oil i presume thats ok . harley say use their own oil what do you guys think ? i used genuine harley davidson oil once i found it quite amuseing . a bloke i know told me he bought genuine harley davidson coffee when he visited new york i cracked up .

2,000 miles ???? Are you guys crazy? That would be like every three or four weeks for me.

5 on the engine/ 10 on the tranny & primary. Just like the book says.

I change the engine oil every 5000 miles and the tranny and primary every 10,000.

All 3 fluids three times a year,beginning of riding season,middle of riding season and before winter storage.

Engine oil and filter every 3000 miles...dino oil.
Primary and transmission: once a year...usually in the Spring.
