There are turning brushs available from Brownell's,(on line at brownells.com) they are for guns, and are small, you can go simple with a dremel tool and small buffing wheels and a abrasive compound like heavy rubbing compound, ive done a lot on steel, should be simple on alum. Also those little abrasive geen 3m pads can be cut into circles and glued to a small sanding disc and used. but practice on a scrap piece first.

I've always loved engine turned metal......'57 T-Bird dash, etc. And if you have access to a drill press.........small accent peices would be cool, like maybe the tank console. Give you something to do over the Winter!
