I would like know if any of you are using a sundowner seat and if more comfortible than my stock seat on my 05 EGS on long rides.

Sorry, but I don't use a Sundowner. I've tried it once and it made me sit too far forward. I have been a Corbin fan ever since. Then again, anything other than stock seat is still better. Some of the folks here also like Mustang seats. Whatever you decide to get, make sure to get a backrest too. It will save your back and butt on those long rides.

I use the Sundowner on my 2006 RK ... it keeps me in relatively the same position as the stock seat and is a bit more comfy ... My wife and I have made numerous longish day trips (400 - 500mi) without problem (other than the normal weariness). For solo journeys, I do use the adjustable rider backrest.

I have the Sundowner on my '06 RKC and love it. Much better for long
rides than the stock seat. I also got the rider backrest at the same time.

when I first put a sundowner on my bike I had the backrest mount set too far forward and I felt scrouged up too close to the tank. I took it off and moved it as far forward as I could and now I don't feel crowded at all. Stafford

6'3" and we both like the Sundowner. Lower, wider, decent looking profile, comfortable. Awesome with cruiseboards and dual backrests. Rider backrest all the way down and bent to custom angle.

I bought the bike and had the dealer install the Sundowner. After about 1k miles, decided it wasn't comfortable enough. Borrowed a Mustang seat. It was great! Just purchased one from J&P, installed it a few days ago. Very happy with the Mustang Seat. Also bought the AirHawk pad. I'm told this is one great pad....allows you to ride, ride and ride!
