Default J & S Bike Lift VS Sears Red Bike Lift No comparison!!!

I've been using the sears red jack for about 4 years. For the money it was OK but I gradually wore it out and it never was very stable.

I just got a J & S jack today and I'm so impressed I decided to post.

This thing is a TANK! My sears red jack is a toy compared to the J & S.

The casters are high quality, the welds are awesome and it does everything they show in the video.

If your're trying to decide if you want to spend the extra money for a quality lift do yourself a favor and get a J & S.

Sorry for another bike lift thread but I thought a real comparison would be helpful.

I don't have the J&S but the PIT BULL, and from all I read, both are equal. I also feel it is light years ahead for the sears red and yellow. Sorry but if you have 25 plus K invested in a bike what is a few hundred more for SAFETY. Just me two cents

Be Safe JIM

I hate buying a new jack while my cheap Sears jack is still work. I've used it for about 5 years and 3 scoots.

Very good info thanks for this! In the pictures they pretty much look the same...It's clear they are not + the J&S is made in the USA and I buy US made when ever I can. This makes it simple, It will be a J&S for me. Thanks again Brett!

The J&S is on my wish list, but I have a question:

How much does that sucker weigh, and can you easily store it upright, out of the way?

Everytime I try to put up the Sears jack, I think it's going to take off a finger.

I would guess that is weighs 60 to 70 pounds. Its very heavy which I like. There is a grab handle on the front of it that you can use to stand it up on end.

Thanks to this Forum, my first jack was the J&S. I love it.

Peace of mind? Priceless
