I am pretty sure the Pitbull is made in the U.S as well. They say it is on their website.
I asked both companies this question before buying my Pitbull. They are both manufactured and assembled in the US, but....... they both import their bottle jacks.
Had a Sears Yellow for over two years now- push and pull my bike all over the garage everyday without straping it on - all riding season - no issues at all. Spend what you will.
Yup, I've been very happy with my Craftsman yellow jack too. Different strokes...

I'm thinking of getting the HD crank up lift. No bottle jack to start leaking....eventually.
Bottle jacks tend to start leaking when the bike is held up by the jack and not the safety stops.
I always use the safety stops but also leave the pressure on the bottle jack. The good news is that both J & S and Pitbull use 6 ton bottle jacks to lift these 1/2 ton max bikes on their manual lifts, so the seals are designed to withstand much higher pressures.
By the way, for those of you with lawn tractors, here's a great reason to get the full 25 inches of lift. I also add in a hunk of firewood so I can easily get under the mower deck to change out or sharpen blades. For me, it's just a lot easier than pulling the whole mower deck.
