Yup. J & S and Pitbull are pretty much the same overall quality and you can't go wrong with either choice. The only big differences are that the Pit lifts to 25 inches as compared to 18 for the J & S. Plus, the Pit has grease zerks on the moving parts. The zerks were important to me because living in the Great Northwest, I wash my bike a lot so the lift gets a lot of water.
I think the Pit is about $50 more than the J & S with the T-Pull handle and the T-Pull handle is a must IMHO.

J & S offers a much better warranty, if you are unhappy for any reason they'll refund your money and pay for the shipping back to them, Pitbull only warranties it if it breaks, also the Pitbull does lift it higher but to do this has a bigger footprint( base of the jack) so it doesn't roll out of the way as good as the J & S, I work on my bike on a stool with wheels and like the smaller footprint and have had no issues with the 18" height, I've had my bike down to the frame and no engine and never needed the additional height, in fact I rarely raise it all the way up I usually work on it at the lowest or 2nd to lowest locking position

My friend who just opened up a small shop (in Warm Springs, Georgia ,R&R cycles......yeah, its a shameless pitch) has two of them. One leaked oil from the hydraulic ram while it had my bike in the air. The safety locks were on, so I couldn't pump the ram (leaking...remember ?) to let the pressure off the safety locks so I could get my bike down.
You need a small floor jack too. Helps when in situations like this and to hold up tires, etc. He called J&S and the customer service was spot on. They sent him another jack and all he has to do is ship the broke one back. No fuss, no muss.

I am pretty sure the Pitbull is made in the U.S as well. They say it is on their website.
