Uh, why take a 10 year old to Sturgis? Try Disneyland or DisneyWorld.

Here is a freebie....Try using a period once in a while. It would be a lot easier to read your post.

Like the others said, this is not a kid's event. Sure, you can shelter them, whatever, it's not a family event. If that pic is of the two kids, the older one is going to have a good time, probably get lots of attention. As far as cost, it's just like any other event, somewhat inflated, but it's food, beer and trinkets to take home.

a ten year old can have a good time seeing the monuments and places like the devils tower, but other then that its a party everywhere and the hooters are hanging out all over the place with just a bandaid or pasty if your ok with him checking out the hooters and possibly might see a biker smoking a j then take him no one can tell you what to do.I have been going to sturgis since 75 and have never rented a room yet im sure its a lot tamer then some of the camp grounds in the area?

You can have good memories going fishing, amusement parks, whatever, but the biggest MC rally in the country? He's yours to do as you will, personally I think he will tire of watching bikes and people, but the skin will probably get his attention even at 10. I'm no prude, I've exposed my kids to a lot of life's adventures, this is one I would not take a ten year old to.

Me and the wife saw plenty of kids last year, all having fun. As for the cost, if your not bar hopping buying beer left and right at $7 to $8 a beer it really not to bad. Gas getting there from NC was the most expensive for us.

Take the kid. If he is into bikes, he will have a great time....as long as you don't mind him seeing a few stray **** from time to time.

He would probably enjoy the harley davidson display in rapid city at the civic center (or whatever its called) Of cource there is rushmore, badlands, etc. You can take a ride out to wyoming and check out devils tour.

I really enjoy sitting on main street at night and watching all the characters that are wondering around sturgis.

Sturgis is something everyone shoud experience. Me personally, I'm ready to get out of there after a few days.
