Question mufflers

Just put SE 255's in and dresser duals on, now this thing is really loud. Whats a good sounding muffler thats not so loud?

Yeah, too much volume is not always the best thing. You can't hear what's going on around you and after a while you wish you could just turn the roar down. I went with Rush 2"ers. And they got louder after I went to a stage two upgrade. The Rush 2"'ers to have a few sweet spots though, where the volume drops and crusing is real nice.

I have the dresser duals with the monster oval on a 103" motor and they sound great. Not to loud....but loud enough!

Thanks, yea I would really like the Monster ovals but they are a little pricey. Maybe some Rush mufflers with a 1.75 baffle might quiet it down some. I have some Crusher mufflers on that are way to loud.....

too many opinions... Go to a rally or a dealer and listen to various bikes. Monster Ovals have a deep bassy tone. Jackpots have the best all around package- lower cost, real performance gain, and throaty rumble that cracks when you wick the throttle but mellows out at criuse RPMs. My experience for what it's worth...

Yea I like the jackpot's too but they are for stock exhaust. Unless they would be willing to put the same size baffle in both mufflers. I just didn't expect this cam and dresser duals upgrade to increase the sound so much. And I need to have it dynoed as soon as possible but I wanted to have the muffler issue worked out first.
