Default anyone remove the end cap from a night stick on a 2010?

I have a 2010 Street Glide and put on a night stick. No A/C or anything else. Thought I would take off the end cap and disc's. Anyone else do this? Looks like the discs just move the end cap further out which means the discs have no purpose without the end cap? Any info feedback would be appreciated

I saw one with the end cap removed but the discs still in place. It made it a lot louder. By doing this you will decrease your hp & tq. There is not much you can do with a nightstick. Here's a dyno sheet of one with a Ness Big Sucker and fuelpak.

Not sure I can find the night stick on the Super Trapp website. Lots of these mufflers sold, most everyone running them unaltered? I dont see how the discs have an impact on anything without the end cap. Thanks

Default Tuner kit for nightstick available

http://store.supertrapp.com/index.ph...dex&cPath=3_27

I pulled the cap off mine......they did a crappy job manufacturing......2 of the screws were crossthreaded when it was originally manufactured...... I had to drill one out as it broke on its way out.

Anyway, the sound is deeper, and cracks when you get on it......but with no A/C not sure im going to leave it this way. I like the sound, but can definitely feel the shift in powerband.

'10 Black Denim FLHX........ Loved my Bob......love this one more.

I bought the nightstick and purchased the tune kit from supertrapp. I ran it with the open end cap and added a few discs. i can't remember how many I added, i emailed supertrapp and they told me how many i could add without having to change other things on the bike like intake and fueling box. It did increase the sound but i just did it until i could replace the entire exhaust, intake, and ad a pcv.Didnt really notice any power gains or loss. i just put on the d&d fatcat, pcv, and zippers high flow. Email supertrapp and they can answer your questions but like alot of people on here have said your best bet is to replace the entire exhaust system and do away with the cat. I know it's expensive but i think you'll be a lot happier once you can get it done.

I had the nightstick originally and went with the open end cap from ST. Their tech advised that the open end cap was the equivelant of 12 discs. Soundwise, it was a little louder and deeper, but with the cats in the head pipe it will only get so loud. I ended up going with a new system (Rush).
