You get the dealer to order one, or ebay, or what?
Need to know!!!!

The H-D main website has part numbers for service and parts manuals. Then I would suggest ordering from Zanottis - their discounts more than make up for the shipping costs. (For some things they go all the way back to 1984.)

Yes. You can find good used manuals on eBay -- you just need to know the part numbers so you get the correct manuals.

Going to dismantel the air cleaner system tonight to replace gaskets and rings to help reduce or eliminate the blow-by which might be a little excessive. While I'm in there I will lubricate and adjust the throttle. Having the part numbers for the job makes it easier at the dealership...saves a little time. It's also nice to get the exploded view of the systems in the parts manual to help with understanding the service manual instructions. Soon I will replace the fork oil.

I get a lot of satisfaction wrenching on my own bike and I save a ton of money. These manuals are a must.
See now why other posters were so adamant?
I've purchased the factory service manual for every new bike I've owned.
All makes and models, and they have always been top rate. Although the HD manual is very user friendly.

Excessive blowby can also be cured by lowering the oil level to halfway up the dipstick. Harley manual is a must if you are working on your bike. Period. $60 for a wealth of info. You paid for the bike, buy the manual. I prefer to support Harley and buy the actual manual from them. The bootleg CD's are just that, bootlegs. I wnat Harley to be around for anotherf 100 years.

So do I. But what if I buy a used manual on eBay? That money isn't going to the MoCo.

I would hope the MoCo would be around in 100 years because of the beauty, reliability, and quality of its motorcycles.
