Gonna try the long sleeve shirt thing, we stop every 80-100 miles anyway to stretch and stuff, so I will let yall know how it goes, she has a mesh jacket, but I will try to pursuade her to try the long sleeve thing.....she drinks water all the time and I drink sports drinks/water as well....We stay out of towns like others have said just to avoid the stop n go, but when its upper 90's its hot no matter how ya cut it!
Thanks for all the tips guys!

I ride unless it's raining when I leave the house. I wear long sleeves at work so that helps for the commute. But on a pleasure ride lots of hydration, sun screen and I wear light colored long sleeve t shirts. I do the mesh jacket but mine is black, need to get a lighter one. And of course always a helmet with a do rag.

This place makes a nice long sleeve shirt that is designed for riders. Prices are very reasonable.

I wear a long sleave shirt anytime I ride after noon with the temps in the 90s.
I just put it on before I mount the bike, over a tee shirt I'm wearing. That way I have a regular shirt during the stops.
When it's real hot I just switch shirts.
They are thin and light colored and I don't get burned that way.
The UV is just killer down here when it's over 90 degrees.
