it's always hot in Florida, I take back roads that have shade in areas and stay off interstate

I dislike riding when its 90 and above..but it can't be helped sometimes. We use 70 SPF and still get burned. Its not the riding that is so bad...its the stops that are torture. I know the bike doesn't like that heat...seems to ping a lot. I'll avoid stop and go traffic like the plague at that temp.

Just ride a little faster. Staying out of traffic is a must.

Take breaks and drink lots of water.

I try to avoid 4 lane roads when it is really hot. It seems like they reflect more heat than the 2 lane roads.

I wear a long sleave shirt anytime I ride after noon with the temps in the 90s.
I just put it on before I mount the bike, over a tee shirt I'm wearing. That way I have a regular shirt during the stops.
When it's real hot I just switch shirts.

They are thin and light colored and I don't get burned that way.
The UV is just killer down here when it's over 90 degrees.

I rode to and from Arkansas last week, and it was like riding in a convection oven. I wore a white, long-sleeved T-shirt to keep the sun off of me. A black helmet may look cool, but it's not your friend when it's hot. I guzzled a bottle of Gatorade at every fuel stop, and took a sip of water every 10 miles. I still didn't pee much.

One thing I found that helps is to wet your clothing.Put a vest over a wet t shirt to keep it wet a little longer.I even soak my pants,by the time they are dry it is time to stop again.
