I did a bit of research on this before purchasing the Mustang seat for the 08 Fatboy I owned. Best advice to give is to get a firm seat (not one that is cushiony). I thought that was odd myself...but it was explained to me that having a firm seat keeps your tailbone from bottoming out and putting pressure on your spine. I think it was said best that the seat on a bike is probably the most personal item you'll purchase because it has to work for you and you alone(maybe the wife). If you're not comfortable, then why ride

I put a Harley Hammock seat on my Tri Glide while I was at Americade and the differance is phenominal. The stock seat looks comfortable but sucks after a few miles. My wife also noticed the differance as a passenger. The only modification I had to make was to remove the hand rail. I had a Mustang seat on my old Glide and thought it was the best until I got this one.

Default Touring seat

I have a 08 ultra, had the seat done at mean city cycles, hurt my *ss after only 60-80 miles. Sent it back...still hurts my *ss, they have great customer service, but how many times do you want to pay return shipping to get your seat right? It also depends allot on your weight. If you weigh 250lbs, pretty much nothing is going to feel great. Mustangs are comfortable (had one on my last bike) but they raise you up an inch. So if your short like me (5' 10") you may not sit flat footed. Corbins are VERY firm, but I've heard they are comfortable for the long haul IF you are not a heavy person. Saddlemen seats have that darn gel that gets cold and hot, plus it can cut off your circulation. Gel was never designed to hold weight. If you have the money, get a custom seat, formed to your rear end. I've heard good things about airhawk pads also.

+1!! Hard to believe there has'nt been more comments on C&C. Almost everyone I know have 'em & love 'em! I have the gel insert which gets a little hot when parked in the sun but, I've just learned to throw something over it or try to park in the shade.

I just got back from a 6200 mile trip in 12 days. All i can tell you is the c&c sport tour seat is awesome. The first day way 1025 miles 15 hours in the saddle. The second day was 900 miles. I had no hot spots or cramping at all. The seat was on my 08 flhx and now on my 10 flhx with close to 30000 miles on it and its still as good as the day i purchased it. It doesnt have the gel in it.

My son and I just completed the Saddlesore Iron Butt ride last weekend riding Cor bin Dual Tour seats. he had ridden 450 miles the day before and 450 the day after the 1000 mile in 24 hours. Neither of us have any qualms about purchasing the Corbins. They are hard as rocks when you first sit on them but have support where it is needed and are comfortable for long rides.
