In my experience...looking for '09 STANDARD for months...hard bags are harder to find and more expensive RESALE....the hard bags are more practical. PERIOD. Cruise is an easy add and many Standards have the $250 option installed. It's much more expensive to find hard bags after the fact and be able to mount them on on classic....
The laced wheels while cool are just not as practical for changing if needed and cleaning.
