Default 18" Wheels FLHRS Spoke Question

Well , im new to the forums, and i have an 05 Road King Custom, im taking off my stock wheels and tires (16's) and going to 18's Question is i would really like to get spokes, but from what i hear from a few people is that "Do not run a Spoke in the rear, because they could lose a spoke due to the Torque and weight... i do know that the Factory "Classic" rear are spoke , this is why im asking

So i was thinking of running a non spoke rear 150

Any input would be appreciates

Thank you

Unless you are running some type of giant torque monster engine, rear spokes are just fine. I think you those "few people" are smok'n something.

I ride my bike pretty hard and my rear spokes have held up just fine!

Run both spokes, in my opinion mixed wheels look stupid or cheap.

I bought stainless twisted spokes, new rims (18 and 16), stainless nipples and rim strips. I had my indy lace the new rims to my stock hubs. It worked out great and saved a few bucks.

My 2003 EG Classic had spokes and I really liked the looks and never had any problems with them.
