For the little extra I would go for the ultra.

Go with what you want.....I started with a Classic and now have an Ultra after several years of collecting parts and winter projects. Would have been easier to start from that point. Look at what you would add from the Ultra and if it costs more than the price difference between the two you have your answer.

I've never had an Electra Glide Classic but I'm on my second Ultra Classic. I was so use to having all of the bell and whistle on my Goldwings, I just automatically went for the Ultra Classic.

I bought a 2010 Classic. Didn't want the lowers,cb rear speakers etc. It just had stuff I didn't need. Plus I like the looks of the Classic better without the lowers and rear speakers. It looks like a young Geezer Glide. I also like the way the pin stripes are done better on the Classic. Either one is a great ride.

Why spend money on something you won't use? If you will use all the bells and whistles, then spend the extra $$$$. If not, then dont. I have a Classic for that very reason.

Really depends on if you want, or need, most of the features that are standard on an Ultra. Myself, if you want a sportier look, I'd say go with a Street Glide and add the Tour-Pak. Otherwise, it's an Ultra all the way...

...dollar for dollar...there is no better deal from Harley than the Electra Glide Classic...you get everything you need to tour the whole country for the price of a Street Glide, and $2000.00 less than an Ultra...sure the Ultra has some additional goodies...but nothing you Have-To-Have to Tour...save the $2000.00 and use it to do a Stage one..

I purchased a 2010 Ultra. For me it came down between the Street Glide and the Ultra. Love the look and the handling of the Street Glide. I could not, however, put up with the stiffer ride quality long term. Trust me I am all about performance and that was a difficult call. As for the Classic and the Ultra choice, that was easy. It is less expensive to take things off then to put them on. I like having the lowers in the cold. I, like I would guess most people, don’t ever plan on using the CB. Cruise control is a must have.

So what color are you going with?
