Default warranty expires in August

The factory warranty expires in mid August of this year, will HD send me an offer for extended or should I contact them?

If you think you need an extended warranty better go buy one. I wouldn't wait for the MoCo to contact you. On the other hand I personally think they're a total waste of money - unless you have had significant and varied issues with the bike already.

I moved around a little so never got the post card. Mine was up in April.
Lots of threads on the extended warranty if you want opinions on the thing. Here si mine, unsolicited as it is.

I put 32,000 K on mine in two years. Will put on a few more before I trade in. I decided to get the warranty. About a month after I did my heated hand grips went and I have some electrical probs with my fog lights and front turn signal/running light. Dealer said they'll be covered.

He mentioned that if someone puts a lot of miles on the bike they are usually worth it, not so if a garage trophy. Take that for what you think its worth.

HD will not send you a notice. Read the contract,(Sec 6, 2. C), it states that if you wish to extend the coverage, you must purchase the extension no less then 10 days and no more than 45 days prior to the expiration date.

Be prepared for sticker shock as you will be charge the rates for a used bike which is conciderable higher than for new.

How about letting us know if they send you a post card. I've never gotten one. Tossed around the idea of a warranty, but didn't. I wouldn't buy one unless you plan on keeping the bike and already had issues. If you do decide to buy, check with different Dealer's. Some will give you a better deal than others. Last time I checked, a 5 yr extended plan was going for 1644.00 That was no tire warranty added.

mine just expire and I will be in for a repair next week, but I bought the extended.
Based on the record of my 2008 UC which I bought new I vist the dealer for an issues at least once a month so I bought it. My ride is beautiful in all respect but poor quality.
