72 -75 mph on a highway 2 up v. single on mountain roads. I ride hard in the canyons out here but unless it has a reasonable long straight away very seldom if ever hit those speeds. Yeah I know 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Even still I don't think its a good comparison. JMHO.
33 to 41 mpg depending on what road I maybe riding. Seeing that we travel alot of country roads and mountains and stay off the highways as much as possible. But I range 150 to 165 mile per tank with a gallon of gas left over.
I consistently average 37.5 mpg's with a mix of city and highway riding. I have done better (in the mountains) but around here it's like clockwork at right around 37. I wish it were better but I can live with it. Bone stock I could barely get 40 mpg's so 37 with my T-Max is OK.
I average 41-42 mpg traveling in 5th gear(55-65 mph). Out on the interstate running 70-75 mph in 6th gear I can get 42-43. As you can see by my signature, I am not running a stock motor. I am very happy with the results of my build.
All you guys are getting better mileage than me. I'd be happy with 35MPG. I had 211's installed last month, now I can't get more than 32-33MPG. I'll admit that I probably do need a good Dyno tune.
Riding habits are probably the most common factor that affects the fuel mileage. If there's something wrong with the bike, it probably needs servicing. I notice a drop in fuel mileage on my '09 Ultra Classic after I installed a Ridemaxx fuel management system but that's what it's suppose to do. Running low tire pressure with change fuel mileage. If you had rather have a more comfortable ride with 4 or 5 lbs. less air in the tires, then it will use more fuel.
I'm getting around 35 mpg also, but I've got an 03 with a Mikuni carb and Rinehart tru duals. I would think the injected bikes with the 6 speeds would get better.
