Have 07 Road Glide,38,000 mi. with 103" D&D FatCats, Andrews cam, Se compensator. Riding this weekend and after bike got warm, @20 miles or so, getting Rattling or clanking noise with added vibration on bike, especially in 6th gear at 70-75 mph and above. sounds like coming from priary, but hard to tell. Any guesses or advice on what to look at?

 

Check fluid level in primary. Check primary chain tension.

 

I would also drop the primary oil and look for metal on the plug magnet. I had the inner primary bearing fail at 28K on my 07 Road Glide.

 

Check compensator nut torque

 

Could the primary chain be hitting the case?

 

The smart money is on this one.

 

hope to find out tomorrow as just dropped bike off at indie to look at. Hoping it is something small as just got everything finished? Thanx for ideas, hopefully comp. torque is all it is.
