Default on the Road - Need part number asap

Hey guys/gals - need a favor - its Sunday afternoon - rear lower latch (part that grabs and pulls lid down) on the tour pack took a dump (cheap pot metal) - need the part number for the upper latch only... Thanks, Riding from CA, now in Danbury CT...

Worst case - if you are still in Danbury tomorrow AM, there is a dealer on Federal Road. (You probably got that figured out already tho...). It looks like the tour pack latch assembly is 90649-85 from a JP Cycles ad - maybe someone can validate from a Harley parts catalog?

Ya, actually, about a 1/4 mile from them right now.. what pisses me off is that I have two spares at home, lol... not a big deal but need to replace it.. I like to do my homework and have the part number and KNOW the cost before I walk in and get that (oh boy look from the parts guy), lol

Yeah, smart idea on having the p/n when you walk in. I've had parts guys try to give me the wrong part even AFTER I gave them the correct p/n. Some of these parts guys can really scare you.

Thanks for all the FAST replys - Looks like part number 90681-95a is the complete kit and part number 90649-07 is the exact part I need - I will go to the dealer here in Danbury and see what they have - thanks again for all the very fast help. Hey if your in Danbury and see a smokey gold and black CA plate Harley - give us a wave...

Just talked to "Dana" at Ocean State Harley-Davidson - on our way to Newport, RI - he has the part in stock - he has set it aside for me ($10) - Now thats Customer service.... I do have a dealer about a 1/4 mile for my motel here in CT but it does not open until 9am - so, we will hit the road and stop at Ocean State...

That's funny, just got a call this morning from a Steve Hayes requesting the same part. He's from CA also travelling through. He needs the -95 latch though and not the -07. Is he travelling with you?
