I have two cell phone and use the plug allday while I ride with no problem. Just put the item in and turn the wheel to see if it will hit.

the cig. lighter is positioned where it is on the bat wing fairing so no one can steal your lighter when your bike is locked. i've used mine to charge a cell phone while riding and never had a clearence problem.

Anyone know of a slug/blank to put in there instead of the lighter?
They were easy to find in CA when I lived there. I have found lighted ones on the web but no plain ones. If you find one let me know where.

Thanks Spider. That was the answer I was looking for.

I was looking to use the acc. plug to run my XM radio and maybe charge a cell phone while riding.

I thought the pig tail on the tender wouldn't work as a power source for other things because when you plug into the pig tail the ground and hot will be reversed.

Some older cars had blanks. A trip to the scrap yard might get you one.
