I just installed the CB kit on a 2006 Street Glide using all the parts that Harley says I should. Here's the problem, on my 2008 Ultra and can hear her break squelch but can not hear any communication and she can hear me break squelch but no communication. In the drive way I can hear the truckers on the Interstate a mile from the house on my Ultra but can't on hers. Also, because of the set up on the antenna the SWR is adjusted by two metal rings on the mast, I have adjusted them SOB's a million times trying to get lucky. I can't make it to the shop before they close and we're leaving for a cross country ride in the morning. Any suggestions or ideas as to how to make these two bikes talk to each other?

Obvious: (1) Headset volume set high enough; and, (2) speaker switch. You'll know all about these because you have an Ultra.
If you had to install the left hand switches and housing, I'd check for a pinched wire.
I had the same tuneable CB antenna mount a couple of years ago and, IIRC, the rings should be about 1/4-1/3 the way down from the top--had a radio shop tune the antenna with the SWR meter.
I currently use the J&M in-fairing CB antenna; works fine for group riding.
I installed the Boom Audio Music and Intercom kit, 77108-09 with the HK radio and HD CB module. Did you use an HD kit for the install or assemble your own HD parts for the project?
