Default "Sitting Here About To Lose My Mind"

Well it's been 8 weeks today since the wreck and I'm still in the halo and I have about 4 weeks to go. First few weeks I honestly thought I was through riding but I went to my dealer the other day to say hi to everybody and started looking around at the bikes on the floor and I started to get that "feeling" so maybe I'm not done after all. It's going to be 6 to 8 months before I can ride again so I have plenty of time to decide what the replacement will be (my s/g totaled 22,000 worth of damage). My wife is not real happy at this point as the wreck really shook her up because of how bad I was hurt but she enjoys riding as much as me so I think in a few months she will warm up to a little more. Everybody have fun riding the rest of the season and for God's sake watch out for the CAGERS because they damn sure are not looking for you!

glad to hear you doing so well cant blame the wife for being pissed but give her sometime she come around alot sooner then u think. my wife wrecked 3 months ago totaled her bike and just 2 weeks ago she bought another one. same color same bike just differant year. she finally got on it 2 days ago she freaked when we came upon a traffic jam on the freeway. said she wanted to get off but we couldnt cuz we were already on the on ramp. anyway she finally calmed down and we went on a 80 mile round trip she did good. u never loose the feeling when it comes to a harley. take care bro. and give your wife some time she will be ok.

Glad to hear that your doing better. This seems to be a really bad year for us bikers. Cagers are going out of thier mind. Seems everytime I see a cager driving crazy, sure nuff they're on the f-ing cell phone talking or texting. Give the misses a little time. If she enjoys the ride as much as you say, she'll come around. Glad your atleast thinking about climbing back on.

I used to think I had a pretty high tolerance for pain but this halo has made me appreciate what pain really is. This thing pretty much hurts 24/7 and if it does ease up all you have to do is move and you remember its there.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I would think that after some time your wife will get back into riding, when she's ready, you will know.

I had three kidney stones in a row a few weeks back. They say the pain is really bad with those but at least it didn't last very long with any of them. 24/7 pain for months? My hats off to you brother. Get well soon and know that time will heal your wife's pain. She probably feels it every time you wince or get that little hitch in your voice that says your hurting. God bless and get well soon. **gets out crystal ball** I see a red Ultra in your future...

The bike I was drooling over was the 2010 black/grey SE ultra but I know by the time I'm ready to buy they will probably not offer that combination.
