Pick Up SG Saturday, Set-up Questions
I pick up my 2010 SG this Saturday. Are there any specific things I should have the dealer set up prior to then or are they all things I can do once I have it home? What are some of the things I should change right away? I figure that I will have to mess with the air suspension. Does anyone have a suggested setting for that?
This is my 1st Touring bike ( 2nd Harley ever ) so any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Start out with the shock pressure at 25 lbs solo. Buy the damn air pump for the shocks.
I use to ride with it at 28 solo and I'm 225 pounds.
Mine came with 15 lbs from the dealer and it would bottom out over minor bumps.
Check your tire pressure when you get home too. Mine were a little low. I now run 40 front and rear (check cold before you ride)

get rid of the stock seat. really sucks imo. learn about your ABS system. it's great. +1 on the pump for your shocks it takes a little experimenting with the pressure to find out whats comfortable for you. I like it around 30 solo 35 two up. you are going to want to do some kind of exhaust mod. bank on it! you are definatly going to love this bike congrats.

homer, Welcome to the Bagger Brotherhood.
Like already said pick up the HD air pump don't try to use a high flow pump of any kind for the rear shocks.
You'll want to ditch the stock mufflers. And a new shield will probably make it to your mod list as well but some do prefer the stock 4" shield.
The Street Glide is a great canvas to personalize. Have Fun.

You'll love the bike. My wife just picked hers up last Saturday. Got a reach seat, but other than that, bone stock. Pick up a part tomorrow though that will allow the tail lights to be replaced by LEDs.

Nice Ride
Great choice...
+1 on pump... don't try to save 20.00 buy the HD pump
+1 on windshield...you may look at the HD windsplitter...
Pipes, AC, and ECM in the future...
4 point docking system for backrest
360 highway pegs mounted for heel on the boards and toes on the pegs...
Ps: Don't get the black denim!
