Default rear shock psi.

hey Homer I'm a big boy too 6' 3" 250. dam son you've got me by a 100lbs. lol, I've actually found that the higher I keep the pressure in the the rear shocks the better I like the feel of the bike. especially for 2-up. being your size crank it up there & see how you like it. I think you can max out at 50 psi. the seat was a big issue for me I put on a daddy long legs seat by lapera moved me back a good 2" really like it. one problem I'm still having is wind buffeting and am not really happy with the KW 8.5 I put on. am still trying to find a solution. wish I could find some fork mount wind deflectors like I had on my road king but no luck yet. hope you get set up like you want it You've got a great platform to build on.

A new windshield is a must and seat.

Thanks for the advice. This weekend I was busy spending money.

I set the shocks to 50psi while at the dealer then after riding for a day dropped them to 45psi. I will play with this over the next few days.

Took a 50 mile ride and went back to the dealer, bought a 12" windshield. Oh, whatta ya know, you can hear the radio.

Ordered a replacement seat/pillion combo.

Ordered a concrete core bit...can't say why in print, too many witnesses.

Ordered a slip-on, Rush 2.5"

Took off the heel **** peg, deciding on whether to use a spacer or a cap, leaning towards spacer.

Ordered a replacement seat/pillion combo from Mustang.

Ordered a King Tour Pack (antenna relocate and docking hardware) for overnighters etc.

Wish List:
Offset mounts for highway pegs
Pouch for inner fairing, 2 compartment or 3, prefer 3
Decorative stuff: HD Moto Co. fuel cover, grips, AC inset ( if it exists)
Stage 1 Air Intake
PC-V

Stock speakers need to go too. Lots of chat about that here. My JM 7.25's and amp from Dr V-Twin absolutely rock.
Congrats on the new ride! Along with all the other suggestions I'd do a C&C seat with a backrest, pipes, tuner and air cleaner with a nice Dyno to top it off. We can get you whatever you need at discounted forum pricing. Email, PM or call the shop and we can get you what you need!

Ride it home, then decide which mod you want to do. I had a list before I bought, but then the priorities changed after riding awhile. I did already have the Rinehart's and 103 kit put on before leaving the dealer, but things like handle bars were at the bottom of my list, then when winter came around I bumped them up to the top, and was sure glad I did. Good luck. Street Glides are a load of fun to ride. IMO
